Monastery of the Mother of God, is ais a monastery of Dominicans`s nuns founded in 1528 as Beatery, under the title of Sta. Catalina, under the protection of Mrs Francisca de Zuñiga, Abbess of San Payo the real Santiago,〔(Article about the Monastery )〕 sited on Olmedo,〔(Relationship Olmedo artistic heritage )〕 Valladolid Province, Spain.〔(Annex on the dominicans official Web about the monastery )〕〔(List of monasteries in the province of Valladolid )〕
==Origin and history==

Founded in 1528, to adopt the 1830 closure order. During the first seizure, the monastery despite a government ban, remained active in the figure of the Mother Prioress Isabel de Garcimartín, , who together with three novices with secular clothes, kept the monastery until 1868, when It return to his religious status, though with less height reaching almost to disappear in later years.
In the 1950s, seeks help from the community of Dominican Sisters of Daroca (Zaragoza) which sends them three nuns to continue religious work (including sister Teresita del Niño Jesús Pérez de Iriarte〔(Biografy )〕). The present building dates from the seventeenth century, and was rebuilt in the nineteenth century.
